2222 Chief Steward & Legislative Director Paul Feeney is a Candidate for State Senate

PaulFeeney-StateSenate-RGB-02

IBEW 2222’s own Paul Feeney has announced his candidacy for State Senate in Bristol & Norfolk County.  Paul has worked tirelessly for our membership, and will bring that same work ethic to the Statehouse, fighting for working families.

Paul has a substantial record in politics, having served as a Foxboro Selectman, Senator James Timilty’s Chief of Staff, Labor Director for Congressman Stephen Lynch’s campaign, and most recently as the state director in both Massachusetts and Connecticut for Senator Bernie Saunders Presidential campaign.

“I believe deeply that we deserve a strong voice on Beacon Hill that reflects our values and fights for our families and our communities.  Too often, the interests of the average person are trumped by special interests or those serving only their own political ambition.  I have spent my life working hard and fighting for others even when it was not politically expedient and will continue to do so if elected as your State Senator.” – Paul

The district includes Attleboro (Wards: 3B, 4A&B, 5A&B, 6A&B), Foxboro, Mansfield, Medfield, Norton, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Sharon (Precincts 1, 4, 5), Walpole.  Click Here to see if you live in the district and for information on your elected officials.

Please consider helping in any way you can – Let’s elect one of our own!

Right to Work is Wrong for Everyone

Right to Work (for less) is a joke – don’t be fooled!

Right to work is a dangerous and divisive bill that politicians use to intervene in the rights of people like you and me to negotiate with our bosses as we see fit. The bill is championed by big companies, the same ones that ship jobs overseas, by taking away our rights to organize and negotiate for fair paychecks and safety standards on the job. These companies argue that this will make states more competitive and attract jobs, but, in reality, that doesn’t happen.
